Where to celebrate St Patrick's Day in Berlin on March 17, 2018

Where to celebrate St Patrick's Day in Berlin on March 17, 2018

You too can become Irish for a day! Soon it will be time again, Berlin will be green for a day!

Originally St. Patrick's Day was a Christian festival that was celebrated exclusively in Ireland. Meanwhile, it has turned into a colorful folk festival that is celebrated all over the world by Irish and non-Irish. In Berlin, this festival has long since arrived, considering that the radio tower on the fairgrounds, and even the TV tower, will be lit green in the Irish national color on that day. If you are after Irish tradition and a irish sense of life, you will find Irish pubs in almost every Berlin district on 17 March, offering not only the traditional drink Guinness but also nice live music and much more. Below we have listed some of the best Irish pubs.

The St. Patrick's Festival Berlin

On the RAW area, the "St. Patrick's Festival Berlin " celebrates its comeback. There will be a great program including Irish street food, Irish dancing, delicious Irish drinks, live music and much more. As a prelude to the event, a parade is planned, in which green-clad night owls can march through the streets of Berlin under the sound of bagpipes. A highlight will be the rugby game, England vs Ireland, which will be broadcasted on a big screen. There is something for everyone at this festival. Big and small are equally welcome!
