Berlin New Year's Run at the Brandenburg Gate - 1 January 2020
This annual running program is an annual tradition and a marathon of a different kind. After the start of the new year, the sporting ambitions can be put into practice without competition stress. There is no time measured and no award ceremony. Anyone who wants to take part in this race spontaneously and free of charge can be completely relaxed, you don't even have to register beforehand. No matter if young or old, parents with baby jogger or child on their shoulders, costumed or with musical instrument, with whistles or just curious onlookers, everyone is cordially invited! The four-kilometer route offers a perfect Berlin Sightseeing Tour. It leads from the Brandenburg Gate along Unter den Linden, in a large arc around the Berlin Cathedral and then back to the Brandenburg Gate. The starting signal is at 12 noon. Around the race, SCC collects donations for UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund. Last year there were over 4000 participants. You can top that, can't you? Sneakers on and on for running for a good cause!
