30th Berlin Fairytale Days - from 07.11. to 24.11.2019
Who now thinks that this is a pure children's event is wrong! The fairy tale days have narrative art ready for children and adults alike. With around 1,200 theatre performances, narrative events, concerts, lectures, the beautiful fairy tale market, many interesting exhibitions and much more, the festival enchants young and old alike. It will take place at several locations such as libraries, bookstores, schools, concert halls and theatres throughout Berlin. For example, let politicians read you and your children a few fairy tales, or read together fairy tale books from Eastern Europe and Spain at "Liebes-Märchen International".
Within the framework of the fairy tale days, pupils are also invited to invent their own fairy tales according to a given theme. Behind Märchenland is a jury of experts, including children's book authors, teachers and decision-makers from federal ministries. The twelve most beautiful fairytale ballads and pictures will then be published together in a fairytale calendar and awarded prizes. The highlight of the festival is the award ceremony for the Golden Pea.
